Ersilia Serafini has been President of Summerhill since 2009. Ersilia leads a team of over 100 individuals across Canada and focuses Summerhill’s commitment to delivering impactful, results-oriented programs that achieve measurable reductions in energy use.

Ersilia takes great pride in the integrity of Summerhill’s mission while maximizing business value for clients and partners. She deeply values each member of her staff and has made it a priority to maintain the cultural foundation of the business; she is proud and honoured that Summerhill has been recognized as a “Best Workplace” by the Great Places to Work Institute three years in a row since 2011.

At the community level, Ersilia acts as the President for the Clean Economy Fund, is an active member and Past Chair of the Toronto Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization, was formerly a Director on the Board of the Independent Electricity Systems Operator (IESO) and the Vice-Chair of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee. She also volunteers her time with the Parent Council at St. Cecilia Catholic School.

Ersilia was recently ranked #14 on the list of Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs in Canada by Profit Magazine. She was also the recipient of the Next Generation Award at the 2012 Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario’s Business Excellence Awards. Ersilia was named a marketing icon in the making by Strategy Magazine in September 2007. She is also a member of the Climate Project, having been trained by Al Gore.

Ersilia completed an Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto with a double major in Biology and Environmental Science.

Julia Langer

CEO, Atmospheric Fund

Julia Langer has held senior leadership positions in the environmental sector for nearly 30 years, managing campaigns and organizations, defining strategy and policy, and inspiring public and private action to address air pollution and climate change. Julia leads The Atmospheric Fund’s (TAF) staff in advancing the organization’s solutions to climate and air pollution, and with support from TAF’s Investment Committee, oversees the fiscal integrity of TAF’s endowment. Julia is a recipient of the 2016 Minister’s Award for Environmental Excellence for her environment and climate work and a member of the federal government’s Generation Energy Council.

Miranda Baksh

CEO, The Community Climate Council

Miranda Baksh is an environmental educator, climate action catalyst, and one of York University's top 30 changemakers under 30 making a difference in the world. She obtained her Masters in Environmental Studies from York University and shortly after co-founded a non-profit organization based in her hometown, Brampton, The Community Climate Council. Her passion for biodiversity conservation led her to study EcoHealth and Disaster Risk Reduction in Costa Rica and Belize which brought her closer to local climate activism. She currently works at Environmental Defence and enjoys hiking on trails across Ontario.

Présidente et directrice générale de Summerhill

Ersilia Serafini est présidente de Summerhill depuis 2009. Ersilia dirige une équipe de plus de 100 personnes à travers le Canada et met l'accent sur l'engagement de Summerhill à offrir des programmes percutants et axés sur les résultats qui permettent d'obtenir des réductions mesurables de la consommation d'énergie.

Au niveau communautaire, Ersilia est présidente du Clean Economy Fund, membre actif et ancienne présidente de la section torontoise de la Young Presidents Organization, ancienne directrice du conseil d'administration de la Société indépendante d'exploitation du réseau d'électricité (SIERE) et vice-présidente du comité consultatif des parties prenantes. Elle est également bénévole au sein du conseil des parents de l'école catholique St. Cecilia.

Ersilia a récemment été classée 14e sur la liste des 100 meilleures femmes entrepreneurs au Canada par le magazine Profit. Elle a également reçu le prix Next Generation lors de la remise des prix d'excellence en affaires 2012 de la Chambre de commerce italienne de l'Ontario. Ersilia a été désignée comme une icône du marketing en devenir par le magazine Strategy en septembre 2007. Elle est également membre du Projet climatique, ayant été formée par Al Gore.

Ersilia a obtenu un baccalauréat spécialisé en sciences à l'Université de Toronto avec une double spécialisation en biologie et en sciences de l'environnement.

Julia Langer

Directrice générale du Atmospheric Fund

Julia Langer a occupé des postes de direction dans le secteur de l'environnement pendant près de 30 ans, gérant des campagnes et des organisations, définissant des stratégies et des politiques, et inspirant des actions publiques et privées pour lutter contre la pollution atmosphérique et le changement climatique. Julia dirige le personnel du Fonds atmosphérique (FAT) pour faire avancer les solutions de l'organisation en matière de climat et de pollution atmosphérique et, avec le soutien du comité d'investissement du FAT, supervise l'intégrité fiscale de la dotation du FAT. Julia est lauréate du Prix du ministre pour l'excellence environnementale 2016 pour son travail dans le domaine de l'environnement et du climat et membre du Conseil de l'énergie de la génération du gouvernement fédéral.

Miranda Baksh

Directrice générale du Community Climate Council

Miranda Baksh est une éducatrice en environnement, un catalyseur de l'action climatique et l'une des 30 meilleurs changemakers de moins de 30 ans de l'Université York qui font une différence dans le monde. Elle a obtenu une maîtrise en études environnementales de l'Université York et a cofondé peu après une organisation à but non lucratif basée dans sa ville natale, Brampton, le Community Climate Council. Sa passion pour la conservation de la biodiversité l'a amenée à étudier l'écosanté et la réduction des risques de catastrophe au Costa Rica et au Belize, ce qui l'a rapprochée de l'activisme climatique local. Elle travaille actuellement à Environmental Defence et aime faire de la randonnée sur les sentiers de l'Ontario.
